Capistrano Soap Company, makers of ACEQUIA bath and body products

In 2011, Capistrano Soap Company was founded by Deborah Sibley, a dreamer making a mid-life career change. Deborah longed to follow a soap-making heritage passed down through three generations of her family and left a public relations career to handcraft an all-natural, luxury line of bath and body products. Capistrano is now a family-owned company based in San Antonio, Texas where artisanal soaps and lotions are created from pure ingredients sourced from American harvested raw materials.

We're proud to handcraft our all-natural ACEQUIA bodycare in Texas and believe that the GO TEXAN program provides greater opportunities to promote our locally made products.

Texas agriculture also plays an important role in how we source nature's soothing oils, emollient-rich botanicals and blissful butters for our products. We make every effort to buy our natural ingredients first locally, then regionally, before going out of state. It's important to us to have an impact on our local community and throughout the State of Texas.

As members in the GO TEXAN program, our business has been able to participate in reduced booth rates at the Dallas Market, allowing us to exhibit (within our budget) side-by-side with more established brands. Select retailers throughout the State now carry our artisan line of soaps and lotions as a result of our presence at market. Additionally, we have even received inquiries directly from the GO TEXAN website as buyers recognize the attraction of buying Texas goods for their stores.

We also love the exposure of being a part of GO TEXAN promotional programs like the Holiday Gift Guide. As we look to expand our ACEQUIA brand into other markets beyond Texas, we're excited to participate in educational opportunities like international export workshops.
