Partnering Texas Farmers Markets with
Hospitals and Clinics to Promote Texas Specialty Crops
In an effort to put more local produce on Texas tables, the GO TEXAN program is connecting farmers markets, local growers and the Texas health industry across the state. Through the Healthy Living with Texas Produce program, farmers markets in the Lone Star State are invited to partner with a local hospital clinic to host nutritional demonstrations highlighting Texas specialty crops (fruits, vegetables and/or tree nuts) at their market.
