March 12-21: 71st Annual Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show, Mercedes
More than 40,000 fairgoers attend this annual event. GO TEXAN companies can sample and sell products to the public in the Planet Agriculture Exhibit. Space is limited. Fee is $100 per day. The Texas Onion Fest celebrates the development of the world famous Texas 1015 Onion which was developed in Weslaco, Texas, by Dr. Leonard Pike at the Texas A&M University Extension Service. The name of the 1015 onion came from the suggested planting date, October 15. The festival brings the community together for a fun-filled day of onion eating contests, cooking demonstrations, recipe contests, entertainment and much more. The Texas Onion Fest is a coordinated effort of the Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce. This show is exclusively for natural and organic products. The Austin Green Living & Home Products Expo is a resource to consumers for Green Building, organic gardening, natural and organic foods and products, and recycled products. You need not be officially certified organic, but should be natural and organic ingredients. Many attendees attend specifically seeking products to help them with their special dietary and chemical sensitivities. GO TEXAN members will receive an exclusive discount - a 10' x 10' booth for only $495 for the three day events (booth sizes and additional corner fees vary by market).
